Belt Grinder

Not really art, okay definitely not art, but I'm quite proud of this thing. I have been using a modified 24" belt sander (persuaded it to take 2x36 grinding belts), but it didn't have the power or rpms needed to really do what I needed it to; so I took a bunch of steel from... well most of it is from a very substantial walkway from a factory where my brother used to work, a 2hp air compressor motor, and bits of a lawn mower. Only parts purchased especially for it are the three wheels (drive wheel, contact wheel, idler wheel) and the flange bearings (have quite a few of them, but none the right size (of course)). No welding on this, just an absurd number of bolts.
After spending a month and a half trying to get the thing to work right, it finally does (grinding belt liked to jump off, which is why it has two... aligner... hinge... things). My advice to anyone wanting to make one, if you can afford to buy one, do so; I enjoy a challenge, this, however,  was excessive. If you can't afford one (they are excessively expensive), make sure the holes you drill are in the right spot. It can take anywhere between a 2x36 belt (though the tensioner wont fit with that) and a 2x72 belt (which is whats on it now).
